Dominion Extends Benefits, Pay Differential For Employees on Active Military Duty

April 30, 2002

RICHMOND, Va. - Dominion (NYSE: D) announced Tuesday it has extended benefits and pay differential for employees who are on active military duty.

"Dominion is fully committed to supporting the U.S. military and its employees in the reserves and National Guard," said Mark F. McGettrick, senior vice president-Dominion Resources Services Inc. "The men and women who serve our country should not have to take a cut in pay while protecting our freedom."

Dominion will make up the difference between military pay and Dominion pay for all full-time and part-time employees who are called to military service for up to a total of 12 months. In September 2001, as U.S. armed forces were mobilized for action against terrorism, Dominion made available a six-month pay and benefits supplement.

"We understand our employees and their families are making sacrifices to protect our country during Operation Enduring Freedom," McGettrick said. "This is one way we can show our support for their efforts."

Dominion has approximately 17,000 employees. About 110 employees are reservists or are in the National Guard. Twelve are on active duty currently.

Dominion is one of the nation's largest producers of energy, with a production capability of more than 3 trillion British thermal unit of energy per day. Dominion serves nearly 4 million retail natural gas and electric customers in five states. For more information about Dominion, visit the company's Web site at www.dom.com.
