Richmond Surgeon To Join Dominion Board

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Board of Directors of Dominion (NYSE:D) has elected Dr. Peter W. Brown as director, effective Dec. 1.

Brown received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University, is a director on several major corporate boards and is a principal at Virginia Surgical Associates in Richmond, which he joined in 1978.

Brown is a director of Basset Furniture Industries, co-chairman of the Massey Cancer Center Campaign to raise $104.4 million, and is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He is a former director of America's Utility Fund and is former chairman of the board of trustees at Capitol Medical Center.

Brown is also a member of several Richmond area social organizations and is also active in St. Stephen's Church. In 1990, he worked as a medical missionary in Haiti.

A native of Norfolk, Va., Brown lives in Richmond. He is married with three children.
