Farrell II, president and chief executive officer. “Your actions and your interactions with citizens and community organizations help bring our company to life. Thanks to you, Dominion is able to stay in touch with the people and places we serve.

“The spirit of giving that underlies volunteer service is a unifying force that transcends state borders and organizational structures. It is a great model for us to emulate and work toward in other areas of our business,” said Farrell.

With more than 400 of their own affected by Hurricane Katrina, company volunteers worked many hours to help them and others in the New Orleans region by collecting money, supplies and food. Volunteers also continued “Putting Our Energy to Work for the Environment” for the sixth consecutive year, refurbishing 16 parks and environmental agencies in 11 states. Employees in the Springfield, Va., office marked 20 years of delivering meals for “Meals on Wheels.”

Dominion is one of the nation's largest producers of energy, with an energy portfolio of about 28,100 megawatts of generation. Dominion also serves retail energy customers in nine states. For more information about Dominion, visit the company's Web site at www.dom.com.
