Dominion Promotes Daniel A. Weekley to Vice President-Government Affairs

RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel A. Weekley has been promoted to vice president-Government Affairs for Dominion (NYSE: D). Weekley is responsible for the company's federal, state and local government relations.

He reports to Robert M. Blue, senior vice president-Law, Public Policy & Environment, and is based in Richmond.

"Dan brings with him experience across almost all facets of our business, a solid understanding of federal, state and local issues related to our industry, and a high energy level," Blue said.

Weekley was managing director-Northeast Government Affairs, where he was in charge of the company's government affairs program in New England and New York for more than nine years. He joined Dominion in 2000, when the company merged with Consolidated Natural Gas Co. (CNG). Weekley started his professional career at CNG in 1989 and at the time of the merger was responsible for state and local affairs issues for what are now Dominion Transmission and Dominion Hope in West Virginia and New York.

A native of Bridgeport, W.Va., he holds a bachelor's degree in business and finance from Marshall University and an executive master's degree in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
