New Dominion Facility In Troy Township, Ohio, Available For Summertime Demand

RICHMOND, Va. - Dominion Energy, a unit of Dominion (NYSE: D), announced Friday that all four units at the company's new 600-megawatt generation facility in Troy Township, Ohio, are in commercial operation.

The Troy facility cost about $230 million and consists of four natural gas-fired combustion turbines capable of generating 150 megawatts each. Peaking facilities such as these are designed to operate during periods of peak demand from customers - typically the hottest and coldest days of the year.
